How does DATASAFE™ work?

The efficient and user-friendly
DATASAFE™ APPLICATION
is installed and configured on one or more of your PC’s,
laptops and servers.
DATASAFE™
runs in the background, very
much like a virus scanner, and constantly monitors your important files
and backs up your latest work.
Implementing a “set it and forget it” approach, backups are
performed automatically at predefined times every day and night or at
the click of a button according to your requirements. You can also back
up selected portions of your data on a
continuous
basis.*
The process is completely automatic and does not require intervention,
so that you can free your mind of any backup concerns.
You are notified automatically by email or SMS if the DATASAFE™
SERVERS do not detect the expected activity from your site.
You may also view the latest backed up files by logging in to your space
on the servers from the
DATASAFE™ WEB PORTAL
from anywhere in the world.** You and your authorised staff
can download any of the files when you need access to them during out-of-office
meetings, while travelling, or simply when working from home.

96-hour roll-back for all your files:
Have you accidentally changed, deleted or corrupted a file?
Restoring the file is easy with the DATASAFE™ Application or Web Portal.
But what if a scheduled backup of the files in question has been performed
before someone noticed the problem?
The DATASAFE™ Servers have now been configured to keep
at least two older versions of all changed files, so that you can roll-back
any number of backed up files to the way they were 48, 96 and sometimes
even 144 hours before the latest changes.
This feature is standard on all accounts for all modules, except modules
with version control (see below) which have inherent unlimited history.
Other NEW DATASAFE™ Features:
VERSION CONTROL

Keep unlimited dated versions of your critical work. Each time you backup, DATASAFE™
can automatically store each backup set separately, labelled by date and time, so you can
go back to the state your data was at virtually any point in time.
DELETION PROTECTION
–
Each time you delete a file, even from a network drive (in
which case you will NOT have the added protection of a Recycle Bin),
DATASAFE™ will store the file in a special online deleted
items folder during the next backup, protecting you against accidental
or malicious deletion of files.
USAGE REPORTS
–
Prisma will send customers statistical reports detailing
DATASAFE™ usage every month. These reports show the amount
of data transferred on any day and the running total of area usage
on the servers.
DATASAFE™ as a Service
–
DATASAFE™ can be run as a Windows Service, making
it ideal for use on servers or unattended workstations. Contact
