Shireburn Software teams up with Prisma Technology and

Launches "Shireburn DataSafe"

Shireburn Software Ltd. officially launched Shireburn DataSafe, a new addition to their security product line, at the Business Continuity event at the Hilton Malta on the 27 May.

Shireburn DataSafe is based on Prisma Technology's successful DataSafe backup software.

John De Giorgio, managing director of Shireburn, praised the simplicity and efficiency of the DataSafe solution and highlighted it's advantages for local businesses.

Prisma is highly enthusiastic about this new joint venture, as it combines the development of innovative software ideas by Prisma's young team of developers with the marketing muscle of an established and reputable firm like Shireburn.

The event was a great success with 330 people filling the room at the Hilton Malta. The large number of participants was a testament to the increased level of interest in this field, Shireburn Software's reputation for organising useful events in the IT industry combined with the effectiveness of the market of the event. Participants were provided with an introduction to the main issues related to business continuity and the importance of this aspect of operations both for good business practice reasons as well as a responsibility to an organisation's stack holders.

- Disaster planning and recovery

- Shireburn DataSafe on-line off-site data backup solution/service

- End-point security issues such as USB device control, wireless network management, connectivity of smart phones, camera, iPods and other large capacity devices and data theft prevention

- Anti-spam, anti-virus and other threat prevention

- Theft or loss of PDAs, Smartphones and laptops
 
- E-mail and web browser usage, control and reporting.
